Working with JWT London brandamp licensed the popular ‘Linus and Lucy’ tune which was subsequently rerecorded in three different styles to reflect the character of each of the ads in the campaign.

BEROCCA “RIDE”

Today sees the launch of a new UK & ROI TVC from Berocca. JWT London came to us with a request to license a track that had worked well throughout the editing process. The song in question is “VacationNation” by Hooded Fang. Woodwork Music represent the involved rights holders so we approached them and cut a deal which will see the ad played out in stores and on telly up and down the country as well as being available to view online globally. The spot features some excellent cycling skills from Andrei Burton, one of the world’s best best mountain bike athletes. Click above and check it out.

ORGAN DONATION “FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN”

We secured Nina Simone’s recording of “Falling In Love Again” on behalf of the NHS’s Organ Donation organisation whose mission is to improve awareness and education about UK organ donation and to increase the numbers of successful transplants here in Britain. The track really brings the highly emotive film to life. The ad will be broadcast in cinemas and across selected websites. Click above to see the ad.

ETIHAD ‘THE WORLD IS OUR HOME, BE OUR GUEST’

M&C Saatchi approached us with the early stages of an ambitious new creative idea for their client, Etihad Airways. The eventual film (to be aired across a broad selection of global markets and media) would be an innovative, high quality production which would incorporate a split screen camera method. The agency requested we suggest a variety musical routes, the requirements were that the piece would need to have a certain cinematic quality, that the track would illustrate the pan-global values of the airline and that it would celebrate the wonders of travel. We put forward Bobby Darin’s 1967 classic, “Beautiful Things”, which fulfilled the requirements of both client and agency. Click above to see the spot.

JAGEX ‘ACE OF SPADES’

Jagex, a leading developer of online games, got in touch with a specific license request. To accompany the promotion around the launch of their new “Ace of Spades” combat game, they required online usage rights for “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead for a period of six months. HSBC ‘CAR LOVE’

JWT Dubai recently got in touch to request that we deliver a bespoke composition for HSBC’s new vehicle loan radio campaign. The brief was to create a bed of rich, sensual, disco-led sounds as backing for a custom made voiceover which would express the deep love a car owner can feel for their perfect vehicle! The music itself needed to be opulent in instrumentation: incorporating strings, brass, percussion, keys, sound FX (engines revving!) and more.

Next our composers, Brady Sharples, and our ourselves joined JWT Dubai’s creative director on a call from a London based studio where we worked with Kennie Andrews to record the final voiceover whilst applying the finishing touches to the composition, in line with agency requirements. CLOSE UP “DEEP ACTION”

Lowe, Bangkok got in touch to brief us with a bespoke composition request on behalf of Close Up, a Unilever toothpaste brand. We were made aware of the client’s requirement in terms of musical tone and theme. There was a need to work to a tight deadline whilst turning in a selection of 5 x different demo tracks for client and agency consideration. Our composer team, Brady Sharples, supplied an assortment of diverse and on brief tracks. The selection instantly excited the agency who then presented their choices to the client. Having identified the preferred piece, we worked with Lowe to establish mutually beneficial deal terms for all involved. The ad will go on air in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, India and Brazil across a variety of media from TV and online through to in-store, in-flight and stadium screens. Royal Carribbean

ROYAL CARIBBEAN “ROYAL CARIBBEAN FRANCE”

The Royal Caribbean business was recently won by JWT who soon approached us to secure an extension of a pre-existing campaign into France and Monaco. We efficiently contacted both master and publishing rights holders for the campaign’s accompanying track, Mates of States’  “For The Actor” and negotiated for the spot to be launched in the new territories within the client’s designated budget.

TONI & GUY “HAIR MEET WARDROBE”

Our brief was to identify 4 distinct musical genres to match the style, image and mood associated with the new Toni & Guy product ranges, categorised as Casual, Creative, Classic and Glamour.  Having researched current music trends, brandamp provided 4 distinct play-lists of music that clearly reflected the character and values associated with each style category, ultimately licensing tracks for a series of on-line ‘how to’ films for the new brand platform which was launched in tandem with London Fashion Week.

Liaising between artist management, record label and music publisher brandamp secured the synchronisation rights to the song ‘Louder’ which was to be the first single released by new girl band Parade.  The single release was timed to coincide with the campaign ensuring maximum benefit from the association.

brandamp managed all music licensing for in-game radio for this on-line game, licensing over 75 tracks from a broad spectrum of musical genres including artists such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Bravery, Tears for Fear, White Lies and the Saturdays.

MTS “TATTOO”

Securing the rights to use the original Elvis Presley recording of ‘(You’re The) Devil In Disguise’ for Russian telecommunications company MTS involved not only negotiating with the record label and publisher but also clearance of image rights through the Elvis Presley Estate. Aware of budgetary constraints brandamp liaised with all relevant parties to secure a licensing deal, including image rights, at a competitive rate. Watch here

While the original music from this excerpt of the Barber of Seville by Rossini is in the public domain the English translation of the libretto remains in copyright.  brandamp researched the copyright in the libretto and obtained clearances from all relevant rights owners to synchronise this particular recording of the music for this global campaign.

We were charged with creating a soundtrack for a new Dairylea campaign that would enhance and reflect the action and mood in the film. brandamp briefed our composition partners Delicious Digital, who promptly created a demo for the client to review.Working closely with the creative team, the track was ultimately edited to picture, and has been used across the campaign in UK and Ireland.

Baileys Treat Yourself Tonight

With the original Ray Charles recording of ‘Night Time is the Right Time’ out of copyright in the UK, brandamp was asked to obtain quotes and license the track for use in this Bailey’s campaign in various territories around the world.  Being mindful of the fact that the copyright terms vary from region to region, brandamp managed all rights issues associated with the use of the track.

SHELL “SCIENTISTS” 

The musical work ‘Peter and the Wolf’ by Prokofiev is still in copyright, so brandamp was brought on board to negotiate a deal to secure the publishing rights for use of this music, while also providing a selection of recordings of the work from which to choose and negotiating with the relevant master owner and finally clearing musicians performance rights in the recording with the Musicians Union.

Our brief was to deliver music to reflect the creative concept behind the “Blank Canvas” campaign. Working from the written script, brandamp pitched the track “Senza” by French artist Camille which was picked up by the creative director who worked with this music throughout the production process to final edit. brandamp negotiated a 30 month pan-European deal.
