For better or worse, John Lewis have made the inclusion of a cover version in British TVC’s a new advertising industry standard. Over the years we’ve seen them deliver reinterpretations of The Smiths, Elton John and now INXS. In a slight departure from the norm, in 2012 they’ve enlisted the services of an established act to perform cover duties. The above spot sees self styled pop kook, Paloma Faith, having a crack at “Never Tear Us Apart”.
