IN THE NEWS: JOHN LEWIS DEBUT CHRISTMAS AD

John Lewis are using music effectively in striving to make their Christmas campaigns annual institutions. This particular spot reportedly cost £5m to produce and features a bespoke cover of “Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want”.

Morrissey’s willingness in approving the usage has commanded column inches and the ad has already been widely debated despite having only been on air for 36 hours. Given the spots instant infamy you’re probably already very familiar, if not click above and see what you think.
